Improvised Communications provides a comprehensive list of professional promotion and communication services designed specifically for those making, recording and presenting independent creative improvised music outside the jazz mainstream. Our discerning, focused and practical approach is customized to advance the careers of those challenging existing boundaries to create new and distinctive avenues for improvisation in the 21st century.

Since its inception in March 2002, Improvised Communications has represented musicians ranging from newcomers to iconic figures, as well as some of the industry's most respected labels, presenters and venues. In our first six years of operation, we promoted over 100 new recordings and nearly 200 performances, consulted our clients on a wide variety of career and industry decisions and managed the development of high-quality materials ranging from CDs to press kits to Web sites to print and Web advertising.

We take our responsibility as a prominent conduit between practitioners of improvised music and the media very seriously. Our goal is to serve the best interests of each of our clients while also increasing both the visibility and viability of the genre at large by representing it with integrity, respect and attention to detail. Like our clients, our approach continues to evolve as we extend, combine and defy the traditions of the past to create new ways to move the music forward.
