On Sunday, February 28th, guitarist/composer Michael Musillami will return to Cornelia Street Café with his latest ensemble, the Michael Musillami Trio + 3.

This all-star sextet augments Musillami’s longstanding flagship trio, featuring bassist Joe Fonda and drummer George Schuller, with Ralph Alessi (trumpet), Marty Ehrlich (alto saxophone) and Matt Moran (vibraphone).

The group will be performing music from its May 2009 debut, From Seeds (Playscape Recordings), as well as previewing selections from the trio’s forthcoming April release, Old Tea (Playscape Recordings).
